Purpose

This work instruction describes the process for replacing the soft start motor drive board in the E8 Fixed Centrifuge and E8 Variable Centrifuge. These instructions are valid for Revision J of the E8 Fixed and E8 Variable models.

Required Equipment

• Motor Drive Board (Part # 101283)
• #1 Philips Screwdriver

Summary of Process

The repair procedure involves unplugging the centrifuge, removing the rotor and base assembly, and then disconnecting the old motor drive board. A new motor drive board is installed, rewired, and the unit is reassembled. The process concludes with verifying that all centrifuge functionalities are working correctly.
