Purpose

This document provides instructions for replacing the MXU Speed Wheel on revision C MXU Digital Centrifuges.

Required Equipment

• Speed Sensor Wheel (Part # 101103)
• Speed Sensor Hub (Part # 101104)
• Speed Sensor Hub Stop (Part # 101105)
• Blind Rivet, SS (Part # 100787)
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
   

Summary of Process

The repair procedure involves removing the rotor and tube shields, and then the base plate, to access the motor assembly. The old speed wheel assembly is removed, and a new one is built and installed. The centrifuge is then reassembled and tested to ensure proper functionality.
