Purpose

This work instruction describes the process for replacing the lid on the MX12 centrifuge unit.

Required Equipment

• Lid (Part # 100959-F)
• Lid Latch Top Plate (Part # 100961-E)
• Solenoid Latch Catch (Part # 101078-E)
• Hinge Plate (Part # 100960-C)
• Machined Screw M4x8mm BHCS SS (Part # 101071)
• 2.5mm hex driver or equivalent

Summary of Process

The repair procedure involves powering on the unit to unlatch the lid, then shutting off the power. The user must remove the solenoid latch catch and hinge plate, discarding the old lid. The new lid is then installed with the old hinge plate and solenoid latch catch. The process is completed by powering on the unit and verifying that the lid opens and closes properly.
