Purpose

This work instruction describes the process for repairing the Timer Knob of the E8 Fixed and E8 Variable Centrifuges. These instructions are valid for Revision J of both models.

Required Equipment

• Timer (Part # 100203-B)
• 10 mm socket
• #1 Philips screwdriver
   

Summary of Process

The repair procedure involves ensuring the unit is unplugged and unpowered , removing the rotor and base/motor assembly , disconnecting and replacing the old timer , and then reassembling the centrifuge. The repair concludes with a verification of all functionalities under normal laboratory conditions.
